On April 1, Pretend City honors the Muslim holiday Ramadan. The moon is a significant element of the holiday, so kids can construct their own pair of binoculars (with just string and toilet paper rolls) to look at the moon as well as creating a “lantern” to light up the night. Moon’s Ramadan will be read at storytime (11 am & 2:30 pm) and its author Natasha Khan Kazi will sign autographs afterwards.
