Deaf Awareness Day

Children can increase their knowledge about hearing impairments through various programs at Pretend City on September 8. During the 11 am and 2:30 pm storytimes, kids will get to sing and sign their ABCs, and animal puppets will help teach kids how to sign animal names. Additionally, the museum will have sign language posters displayed throughout the learning spaces. The day will also include hands-on activities involving playdough and stain glass windows.
