Vilayvanh Bender, the author of Mommy Eats Fried Grasshoppers, stops by the Pretend City Museum on December 14 to share the flavors of the food from her native Laos. She will do culinary presentations at 11 am and 2:30 pm – and be prepared to sample a certain Laotian delicacy: grasshoppers. The Cooking in the City sessions are aimed for children ages 10 and younger.
