SUMMARY:Mehregan Persian Festival
DESCRIPTION:Families are invited to the Bowers Museum on September 17 to ce
 lebrate Persian and ancient Zoroastrian cultures. This free outdoor family
  festival (held from 11 am-3 pm) honors the end of the harvest and beginni
 ng of Winter\, along with saluting Mithra\, the god of light\, friendship\
 , and love. The day’s events feature art projects (including crown and p
 uppet making)\, face painting\, lovely music and dance performances\, and 
 a free sampling of a Persian food treat.
